What is a Power of Attorney?

A power of attorney is a document that a person authorizes another person to act on his behalf in certain situations. The power of attorney can be general or limited. As stated in the Code of Obligations, a power of attorney is a bilateral contract.

What are the Types / Types of Power of Attorney?

There are various power of attorneys, namely, the power of attorney given for the administration of your real estate and your property, some of them are;

What is the validity period of the power of attorney, how long?

If there is no agreement between the proxy and the proxy, the power of attorney is indefinite. The power of attorney ends if the power of attorney is not expired, if the proxy resigns or the person giving power of attorney dies. How is a power of attorney given?

The person who will give power of attorney can go to the notary office with the written documents we have given above and start the proceedings. When giving power of attorney, remember that there is no type of power of attorney under the name of general power of attorney. Giving a power of attorney to someone in another province: If the person to whom you will give the power of attorney is in a different province, they will send you a photocopy of their identity card via e-mail. You will print out the photocopy of this identity card in this mail. You can easily give power of attorney when you go to the notary with your own identity card. Then, you can send this power of attorney by mail to the person you have given power of attorney.
